K. Patrice Williams Is Running Again and Fairfield Should Pay Attention

Fairfield, it’s official: I’m running for re-election to the Fairfield City Council, District 1, this November 2026. If you’ve been watching what has happened in our district over the last four years, you already understand why this moment matters.

This campaign isn’t built on promises that sound good on a flyer. It’s built on proof: showing up, following through, and doing the kind of work that doesn’t always make the news but makes a real difference in people’s daily lives. I came in with a vision, I’ve worked to deliver on it, and now I’m asking you to let me keep going.

Where It All Began

When I stood before Fairfield voters in 2022, I made commitments specific enough to be held accountable: community engagement, economic opportunity, public safety, housing solutions, workforce development, and stronger, more honest connections between residents and their local government. I already had skin in the game long before I filed for office.

Before the council seat, I co-founded Solano Impact Care, a community support organization helping people across Solano County navigate challenges through personalized care and meaningful connection. I founded Hazel’s Tranquility Place, a transitional home named after my mother, providing safe housing and a real pathway forward for formerly incarcerated women and their children. And through Turning Point with K. Patrice Williams, I’ve created honest, unfiltered conversations about the issues shaping everyday life in our community.

Community Engagement

I didn’t disappear between elections. From community forums to healing circles to one-on-one conversations with District 1 residents, I’ve stayed present. When I co-hosted the Community Healing Circle at Civic Center Pond after recent violence in Fairfield, it wasn’t a political calculation. It was about showing up for our community in one of its hardest moments.

Economic Opportunity

As a business owner myself, I’ve advocated for smart economic development that creates real, lasting opportunity for the families already here. I’ve pushed for reduced red tape, better resources for small and minority-owned businesses, and development strategies that bring good jobs into our community rather than investment that just passes through.

Public Safety

My approach to public safety has never been one-dimensional. I’ve supported community policing built on genuine trust between residents and law enforcement, championed youth programs that give young people real alternatives and real futures, and pushed for neighborhood infrastructure improvements, because well-lit, well-maintained streets are a safety issue.

Housing Solutions

I’ve fought for housing solutions that work for the full range of Fairfield families:

• Deeply affordable units for the most vulnerable residents
• Workforce housing for teachers, nurses, and essential workers being priced out
• Pathways to homeownership for long-time Fairfield families
• Transparent, resident-informed decision-making on every major housing proposal

Housing has never been a simple issue, but I’ve consistently pushed for it to be treated with the urgency it deserves.

Workforce Development

I’ve kept workforce development on the agenda as an economic priority: supporting partnerships between local schools and employers, advocating for training programs aligned with the industries actually growing in our region, and pushing for pathways that connect Fairfield residents to opportunity in their own city.

Transparency and Accountability

I’ve held myself to a standard of open communication and genuine responsiveness. District 1 residents have always been able to see what I’m doing, why I’m doing it, and what it means for their neighborhood. That consistency is a big part of why I’m asking for a second term.

What a Second Term Is Actually About

Re-election isn’t about coasting on what’s already been done. A second term is about taking every relationship, every lesson, and every hard-won piece of institutional knowledge and using it to move faster and go deeper than a first term allows.

My priorities going into November build on the work already in progress:

• Continuing to push for housing solutions that keep Fairfield accessible for the families who built this city and the next generation putting down roots here
• Deepening investment in economic opportunity that creates good local jobs rather than just favorable headlines
• Strengthening public safety through community-centered, evidence-based strategies that address both symptoms and root causes
• Expanding workforce development pipelines that connect District 1 residents to real careers in their own region
• Fighting for infrastructure investment in Cordelia and Green Valley that brings roads, parks, and public spaces up to the standard every resident deserves
• Maintaining the standard of transparency and accountability that has defined my first term, because Fairfield residents deserve a council member who treats honesty as a baseline, not a campaign season promise
