Community Champion Alert! Fresh Laundries is one of my favorite Fairfield small businesses. I brought in my comforters for just $25, and they texted me when they were ready.
Owners Cleo and Mary Quijano offer self-serve machines big enough for comforters and rugs, plus wash and fold, pickup and delivery, and eco-friendly dry cleaning. They also serve local businesses across Solano and Napa counties.

Community Champion Alert! The Napa Deli & Catering helped serve fire responders a few years ago, and it has since remodeled and expanded. Made fresh daily, it has one of the BEST tri-tip BBQ sandwiches around.

Delta Microgreens

I spent a Sunday morning visiting this Cordelia business, right here in my neighborhood. I now understand the benefits of eating microgreens, and I'm a huge fan. Order on their website for home delivery or visit them in person. Thank you to the Solano County Farm Bureau for highlighting them.

Producers Dairy
199 Red Top Rd., Cordelia
Family-owned since 1932, Producers Dairy bought the milk plant on Red Top Road in 2018 and kept its existing workforce. I toured the plant with Councilmember Scott Tonnessen to see how local manufacturing keeps good jobs and fresh dairy right here in District 1.

Fairfield-Cordelia Library
5050 Business Center Dr., Green Valley
Overlooking the pond off Business Center Drive, our neighborhood library has a Stay and Play Center for early literacy, study rooms and a community meeting room. In May 2026, I hosted a Read Along here for Fairfield families and young readers, and we shared I Will Be Fierce! together.

Boudreaux Cajun Steak House
814 Texas St., Downtown Fairfield
I was excited to see the "Coming Soon" sign go up on Texas Street, and now Boudreaux is open downtown. This veteran-owned, Black-owned business serves authentic New Orleans cuisine, including its garlic Cajun crab, gumbo and garlic noodles. It's a great example of a small business investing in downtown.

Bally Keal Estate
4286 Suisun Valley Rd., Fairfield
Fairfield has its own wine country in Suisun Valley. Bally Keal Estate is a local winery and event venue where I've attended community fundraisers and celebrations. It's a wonderful place to support local agriculture and hospitality.

Jelly Belly Visitor Center

No Fairfield list is complete without Jelly Belly. The Visitor Center is one of our city's best-known attractions and brings visitors from across the region. I celebrated the holidays there with Santa, Mrs. Claus and our community in December 2023.

Rush Ranch

Just outside Fairfield, Solano Land Trust's Rush Ranch is a historic working ranch on the edge of the Suisun Marsh, with trails, farm animals and family events. I visited this spring to learn about the Land Trust's plans for our open spaces.

Easter Round-Up & Egg Hunt at Mile High Ranch
2158 Bridgeport Ave., Cordelia
Our inaugural Easter Round-Up brought District 1 families together at Mile High Ranch for egg hunts, pony rides, animals and face painting on a beautiful spring afternoon. I even saddled up for a ride! Thank you to every family and volunteer who came out. I can't wait to do it again.
Fairfield Fourth of July Parade
Downtown Fairfield
One of my favorite days of the year. In 2025, I rode along in a vintage fire engine and celebrated with our Fairfield firefighters. Neighbors line the streets of downtown for one of Fairfield's most beloved traditions.
HR1 Community Town Hall at Partnership HealthPlan
4665 Business Center Dr., Green Valley
Supervisor Wanda Williams and I hosted a Community Town Hall at Partnership HealthPlan of California, the Fairfield-based health plan that manages Medi-Cal for members across Northern California. Experts walked residents through how HR1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025, changes SNAP and Medi-Cal, and what families can do to keep their coverage.

Día de los Muertos Community Ofrenda & Candlelight Vigil
Co-hosted by Councilwoman Doriss Panduro
Each fall, the City of Fairfield invites residents to honor loved ones with a community ofrenda, traditional music, pan de muerto and a candlelight walk around the City Hall pond. Councilwoman Doriss Panduro co-hosts the celebration with Solano Community College and the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. It's a beautiful reflection of the cultures that make up our city.

Matt Garcia was elected to the Fairfield City Council at 22, the youngest councilmember in California at the time. The foundation carries on his legacy by supporting youth and working to reduce violence and crime in Solano County.

Honored at my 2024 Evening of Inspiration, Jacob is dedicated to amplifying young people's voices. A UC Davis graduate and former Fairfield-Suisun Unified student board member, he interned with the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association and Congressman John Garamendi. He has also served on the Solano Transportation Authority Bicycle Advisory Committee, the APAPA Solano County board and the Assist-A-Grad Scholarship Foundation.
