For K. Patrice Williams, community has never been a slogan. It’s how she works as your councilmember for District 1, and how she built programs across Solano County long before she ran for office.

Two records. One way of working.

K. Patrice has two records you can check. On the Fairfield City Council, she represents Cordelia and Green Valley and brings your questions straight to City Hall. As a business leader and nonprofit founder, she has trained small businesses and nonprofits, connected people to jobs, and opened homes for neighbors who needed a place to heal.

From the Heart 2 Heart listening session at Cordelia Library to neighborhood meet-and-greets and HOA meetings, K. Patrice goes where residents are. In spring 2026 she gathered 14 questions from District 1 neighbors, on everything from Lopes Road to illegal dumping on Neitzel Road, and put them in writing to the City Manager. The answers came back the next day.

She keeps District 1 roads on the agenda

Lopes Road has needed major repair since the 2023 storms. K. Patrice has made it her top constituent issue, pressing City staff for a clear timeline and pushing for a public project page so neighbors can track the repair.

She plans for Cordelia and Green Valley's future

She helped move the General Plan update forward for Cordelia and Green Valley and has insisted that growth decisions include real community input.

She gives Fairfield a regional voice

K. Patrice represents Fairfield on regional boards that shape our energy, transportation and wastewater services, including Marin Clean Energy, the Solano Transportation Authority and the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District.

Helping small businesses grow

Through BrandGOV Outreach and Empower Solano, K. Patrice helped lead a Solano County initiative that engaged more than 900 local businesses, trained over 300, and graduated 198 owners from a Small Business Bootcamp. The Shop Local, Shop Solano directory now lists 643 local businesses.

Strengthening the nonprofits that serve us

Her team mapped more than 3,000 Solano County nonprofits to find service gaps and trained 62 organizations in grant writing, governance and leadership.

Opening doors to work

A Second Chance Hiring Fair connected 110 job seekers with 21 employers willing to hire people facing barriers to work.

Breaking the stigma around mental health

Break the Stigma Solano brought 309 residents together across 12 community events, including a BIPOC mental-health summit, and participants reported an average 87% gain in knowledge.

A place to heal

In 2019 K. Patrice founded Hazel’s Tranquility Place, named for her mother, to give adults leaving the hospital, recovering, or starting over a safe place to land. Today Hazel’s operates homes in Vallejo and Fairfield, including Cordelia.

This work was done through BrandGOV Outreach, Empower Solano and Hazel’s Tranquility Place under County and private partnerships. It is not a City of Fairfield program.

Showing Up When It Matters

Bringing families together

The 2026 Easter Round-Up & Egg Hunt in Cordelia brought hundreds of neighbors, local sponsors and community leaders together for an afternoon of family fun, and it’s coming back in 2027. K. Patrice also used the day to hear from residents and take their questions to City Hall.

Standing together in hard times

After the shooting that followed this year’s Fairfield High and Sem Yeto graduation, K. Patrice joined Broken by Violence and the Tri-City NAACP to host a Community Healing Circle at the Civic Center Pond, a space for families, young people and neighbors to grieve and support one another.
